The Bakery Though Family Legacy and Generations

Echo

Bonomini Bakery at 1677 Blue Rock Street was founded in 1976. Lenny and Virginia Volz Bonomini bought Blue Rock Bakery from Rudolph and Karoline Engler, owners since the 1950s. Lenny had inherited Volz Bakery at 4205 Virginia Avenue, from his father-in-law Joseph Volz, owner from the 1920s to the 1960s. In 1974, the City of Cincinnati bought Volz Bakery for the Hamilton-Colerain Connector, demolishing the property. Lenny's sons Joe and John Bonomini now carry the family legacy.
