Mueller’s Pharmacy
Soda, Ice Cream, and a Pharmacy on The Corner

Echo
This 1930 photograph shows Herman and Helen Mueller, an unidentified worker inside Mueller's pharmacy at the corner of Hamilton and Chase Avenues. Herman purchased the store from Harry C. Bristle in 1928, inheriting his soda fountain, and operated the store from 1928 to 1960. Harry's father, Charles D. Bristle, built the building in 1900 as a second location to his Nolens Corner location. Note the peerless brand scale in the center, right next to the candy display. Sodas were made with Coca-Cola and French Bauer ice cream.
