The Northside United Methodist Church was built in 1894 and designed by architect Samuel Hannaford (1835-1911). This congregation's first church at Wesleyan Cemetery was destroyed by fire in 1889. The church purchased the lot on Delaney Street from Julia Banning and Charles Miller, a Northside undertaker, donated the stone from his quarries.
