SPRING GROVE CEMETERY
The 3rd Biggest Cemetery in the United States

Echo
The entrance to Spring Grove Cemetery looks much like it did in the early 1900s postcard. The cemetery was founded in 1845 by a group of Cincinnati businessmen, including Salmon P. Chase. They wanted the natural setting to be a contemplative atmosphere conducive to consolation and commemoration. Its 733 acres of Adolph Strauch-landscaped grounds are the final resting place for numerous Northsiders and spawned a bustling funeral and monument business in Northside.
