This early 1900s photograph shows St. Patrick's Church at 1663 Blue Rock Street, the Irish parish formed after the 1861 division of St. Aloysius. Fr. David Walker, a civil engineer by training, began construction in 1870, and his successor, Fr. David Crowley, completed the church in 1873. St. Patrick's closed in 1969 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
