It was founded by George Ault, the nephew of the ink baron Levi Ault, who founded Ault and Wiborg Company. Globe Folding Box Company employed 75 to 100 people and manufactured show cards, oyster and ice cream pails, and sweet and cake boxes with Ault and Wiborg inks. It is now home to Wooley Electric Supply.
